Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Garage Laplante website and the sending of an appointment request. By using the site, you accept them.

To be approved before going live. This text is a template written for a small local business website in Quebec. It is not a substitute for legal advice and must be reviewed by the owner or their advisor before publication, particularly sections 6, 7 and 9.

1. Who we are

This is the website of Garage Laplante, located at 230 Saint-Joseph Street, Sainte-Martine, Quebec J0S 1V0, reachable at 450 427-3309 and at okpneustemartine@videotron.ca.

The exact legal name of the business is to be confirmed.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By browsing this site or sending us an appointment request, you accept these terms. If you do not agree to them, we invite you not to use the site and to contact us by phone instead.

3. Purpose of the site

This is an informational website. It presents the garage, its services, its opening hours and its contact details, and lets you send us an appointment request.

No sales and no payments take place online. The site collects no credit card numbers and no banking information.

4. An appointment request is not a confirmation

Sending the form constitutes a request. It reserves no time slot and creates no obligation on our part until a member of the team has contacted you to confirm the date and time of your visit.

We do our best to reply quickly, without being able to guarantee a timeframe. For anything urgent, please call us instead at 450 427-3309.

5. Accuracy of the information

We keep this site up to date with care, but the information it contains is provided for guidance only and may change without notice. This is especially true of opening hours, services offered and parts availability.

No fuel prices and no service rates are shown on this site. Fuel prices are those posted at the pump. Any repair estimate is given at the garage, based on the actual condition of the vehicle, and binds the business only once it has been given directly to the customer.

The rating and review count shown in the “Customer reviews” section come from the garage’s Google listing and reflect the situation at the time of the site’s last update.

6. Intellectual property

The text, photographs and layout of this site belong to Garage Laplante or are used with the permission of their owners. They may not be reproduced without prior written authorisation, except for personal, non-commercial use.

The trademarks and logos of the networks and suppliers shown on the site — Uni-Pro, Stox, OK Pneus, Nexpart — remain the property of their respective owners. They appear here only to indicate the networks the garage belongs to or partners with.

The archival documents shown in the “Tribute to the Laplante family” section are reproduced for historical purposes. The press clipping comes from the newspaper Le Suroît of July 15, 1976.

7. Limitation of liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Garage Laplante cannot be held liable for damages arising from use of the site, from an error or omission in its content, or from a temporary interruption of access to it.

This limitation does not apply to the business’s obligations regarding work actually performed on a vehicle, which are governed by the service contract entered into at the garage and by applicable law, including the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.

8. Links to external sites

This site links to sites we do not operate, including those of our networks and suppliers, our Google listing and our Facebook page. These links are offered for convenience. We have no control over their content or their own terms of use, and accept no responsibility for them.

9. Personal information

How we handle the information you send us is described in our privacy policy, written in accordance with Quebec’s Law 25. It forms an integral part of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms at any time. The version shown on this page is the one that applies, and the date of the last update appears at the top of the document.

11. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Quebec and in Canada. Any dispute falls under the courts of the judicial district of Beauharnois, province of Quebec.

The French version of this site prevails. The English version is offered for convenience; in the event of any discrepancy, the French text governs. You can consult the French version of these terms.
